The Greenman eco lamp has it all – solar powered, LED bulb, bio plastic corn base trimmed with bamboo.  Could it get any simpler?  Turn the Greenman upside down during the day to collect solar energy.  Turn the solar lamp right side up to use the collected solar energy to power the lamp in the evening.  This lamp is not only energy saving but it is also cordless and waterproof.  Use outdoor and indoor.  A great learning tool for children too.  Truly ingenious!  Sadly, it’s only available in the UK for now at Made In Design.  Crossing fingers it will be in North Amerca soon!

Ingenious! A night light in a spill proof cup – a simple solution to those late night cries for a cup of water. Using an energy-efficient LED battery, the Litecup creates a soft glow when dark. The child friendly Litecup is made from BPA-free materials making it a perfect cup to leave in your child`s room during the night.

Inside this traditional Mason jar lies a high tech solar cell, rechargeable battery and low energy LED lamps. During the day, place the jar in a sunlit area. The solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. That energy is then used at night to power the three LED lamps inside the jar. At night, the warm-colored LED lights will cast off a subtle, natural glow and will look like you have captured a tiny sun in the jar. The light sensor inside automatically activates the lights when it gets dark or lights are turned out.
